Bass Lesson Information
Lesson content is structured in two ways. Firstly around the learner's interests and aspirations and secondly around the RGT Grades as these provide a structured approach covering the following subjects:
- Scales & Arpeggios
- Ear Training
- Session Styles
- Theory
- Improvisation
- Reading (optional from grade 6+)
References are available from other tutors and students.
Syllabus:
The Registry of Guitar Tutors Bass syllabus Grades 1-8 are taught. .
These exams are awarded by the London School of Music Exams and can be used as entry qualifications into Further & Higher Education. For more information please see: http://www.registryofguitartutors.com/
Other benefits include: improved technique, greater live performance confidence, or simply provide some fun for players wanting to improve their bass playing by expanding their knowledge and technique.
Location:
Private bass tuition provided from a studio in Leyland, Lancashire (PR26 8NY).
Lesson Frequency:
This is down to the student but the recommended frequencies are:
- Age below 14 One half hour lesson per week
- Age 14+ One hour lesson once per week/fortnight
Prices:
The first lesson lasts an hour. We will go through your aims, plan your objectives and getting started on playing. This introductory session costs just £15. Lesson 2 onwards will be £25 per hour. Please note: lessons are paid for in advance i.e. at the first lesson you would pay for £40 for lessons 1 & 2.
Conditions:
Lessons are payable in advance in order to guarantee your slot in the tutor's weekly timetable. Lessons need to be cancelled with a minimum of 48 hours notice - the tutor will endeavor to move the lesson but this cannot be guaranteed.
